WHAT
IS CEROC?
The
style of dance taught at a Ceroc class is a fusion of Jive & Salsa
which is easy to learn, sociable, fun, and can be danced to ANY style
of music.
One
of the great things about Ceroc is that there's no need to come with a
partner. Our teaching method means everyone changes partners during the
class.
Ceroc
is the largest and fastest growing dance organisation in the UK. More
than 380,000 people will learn to dance with Ceroc this year in over 200
locations. So come and join the other scores of new people coming to Ceroc
for the first time every week.
IS
CEROC FOR ME?
Ceroc
is great fun and suitable for all ages. It's great exercise in an informal
situation giving all the chance to make new friends and practice the moves
you've learnt on the night.
• It is VERY easy to pick-up
• No need to have danced before
• No need to bring a partner
• No prior booking required
• Great music to dance to
• It's a fun, social, complete night out!
To
help beginners go through the moves taught on the night and previous evenings
we have a dedicated team of CEROCAnglia 'Taxi Dancers' on hand. Most nights
there are Taxi Dancers helping out - if you're a beginner they should
seek you out, but if not please do not hesitate to ask them to dance -
they're very friendly and not allowed to say no!
WHAT'S
A CEROC NIGHT LIKE?
People
come to Ceroc Anglia classes from all over Norfolk and Suffolk and the
format is such that absolute beginners are welcome to all of our classes.
The
evening starts with a beginner’s class during which the teacher
demonstrates the moves from the stage. The emphasis is on the arm movements
rather than any intricate footwork. The moves are walked through slowly,
and partners are changed frequently. Within 30 minutes the class is buzzing
as the music starts up and a routine of 3 or 4 moves is strung together.
Next follows a second class, either a further beginners or an intermediate
depending on the evening.
A
visit to a Ceroc class is a complete night out since the classes are followed
by an hour of good dance music where you can improve your dance style
and a bar is also available. Ceroc can be pretty energetic so ‘peel-off-able’
layers are best and smooth-soled shoes are recommended.
WHERE
CAN I LEARN TO CEROC?
